For a nominal fee, they'll ship you a disk with the updated app on it. You of course have to provide your serial number. Which also doesn't work well for you or course since your Mac doesn't have an optical drive. I don't know how Alsoft handles download purchase updates.

My original disk from Alsoft is 4.0, and I was able to update it each time to the latest update. I don't know if it makes a difference, but make sure to start with the original disk and not an updated copy. The updater also asks for your serial number, so you'll of course also have to know that.

To install DiskWarrior on your Mac, first, you should purchase a license and download the installation file. Then follow the onscreen instructions to install it and, when prompted, enter the serial number that you were provided with during your purchase.
