How to Install




Follow these steps to install the software package on your laptop or PC:


  • Extract the downloaded file to a folder on your desktop.



  • Open the folder and run the "setup.exe" file.



  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software package. You may need to restart your computer several times during the installation process.



  • After the installation is complete, open the "C:\EDIABAS\BIN\EDIABAS.INI" file with Notepad and change the "Interface =" line to match your interface type. For example, if you are using a K+DCAN USB cable, change it to "Interface = STD:OBD". If you are using an ICOM interface, change it to "Interface = REMOTE". Save and close the file.



  • Open the "C:\EDIABAS\BIN\OBD.INI" file with Notepad and change the "Port =" line to match your COM port number. You can check your COM port number in Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT). For example, if your COM port number is 5, change it to "Port = COM5". Save and close the file.



  • Copy the "C:\EDIABAS\ECU\*.prg" files to "C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\" folder.



  • Copy the "C:\EDIABAS\ECU\*.grp" files to "C:\NCSEXPER\SGDAT\" folder.



  • Copy the entire "C:\INPA" folder to "C:\\" drive.



How to Use




Follow these steps to use the software package on your BMW car:


  • Connect your interface (K+DCAN USB cable or ICOM) to your laptop or PC and to your BMW car's OBD port.



  • Turn on the ignition of your BMW car but do not start the engine.



  • Open the "C:\INPA\BIN\INPALOAD.EXE" file and select your car model from the menu.



  • Wait for the software to initialize and connect to your car. You should see a black dot in the lower left corner of the screen indicating that the connection is successful.



  • Select the desired function from the menu bar or from the icons on the screen. For example, if you want to read fault codes, select "F4: Error Memory" and then select "F1: Read Errors".
